3/19/2016
If you’re a college coach looking for a home run threat, look no further than Devin DeMeritt. DeMeritt has all the tools to be a complete running back. He thrives in pass blocking situations, is a serious receiving threat out of the backfield, and has 4.54 speed to leave defenders in the dust. With a coveted skill set and an outstanding 3.9 GPA, schools are beginning to take notice.
The sought-after student athlete out of Duxbury High School (Duxbury, MA) has already visited Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Brown and the University of New Hampshire, and has been invited to the camps of Boston College, Dartmouth, Villanova, Lehigh, Bucknell and Delaware. DeMeritt has also been invited to College Junior Days at Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Boston College, Bucknell, Lehigh and Villanova. DeMeritt hopes to continue to hear from more schools, including Penn State.
When he isn’t playing Midfield for the Varsity Lacrosse team, DeMeritt continues to work on strength and conditioning to improve for his senior season. This offseason, he plans on putting on more weight, after going from 170 to 195 this past season. He also plans on working on his already impressive speed, making him a nightmare for opposing defenses. He works with his strength coach four days a week, while running and conditioning on weekends by himself.
