I believe that it is important in life to have passion and purpose, to set goals for yourself, and to constantly work towards achieving them. I have learned that without true passion it is extremely difficult to reach your full potential in life. Each day I am working to achieve my goals and to carve my path for the future. I am a hard worker and take pride in all that I do whether it is in the class room, on the field or out in the real world. I always give 110% of myself in everything I do.

I take my academics seriously and I always strive to do my best in the classroom. While sports, and in particular football, have been my passion since I was little, my parents have often reminded me to "have a back up plan". That back up plan they regularly referred to is my education. I am not one of those students who school work came particularly easy to. I had to work harder than some to get my good grades, but that hard work and extra effort has helped me to feel even more proud of my accomplishments. 

I am thankful that I was able to receive a great education in a community like Duxbury, Massachusetts and I am excited to further my education at Boston College, Carroll Business School. While football was a very important factor in helping me to find the right fit for my college experience, I truly understand that the education I receive will carve my path to a successful future. 

team

Being a member of a team means never putting your own personal needs ahead of the team. It takes every member of a team to achieve success and no single player can do it all on their own. I have always tried to be a leader to other team members by setting an example on the field and demonstrating how hard work and determination can help you to overcome hardships.

family

I come from a close-knit family that truly enjoys spending time together. Whether we're on vacation, attending sporting events or just sitting around the dinner table talking we are grateful for each other and appreciate what each member contributes to our family. Having the support of an extended family in my life is something that has helped me believe more in myself and strive to be the best that I can be for me and for my family.

I have participated in various community service projects with my team including Crossroads for Kids, Dana Farber Cancer Center, Boys & Girls Club and Toys for Tots. In addition I am a member of the Duxbury Litter Patrol responsible for regular clean up in my neighborhood and surrounding areas. I started my own landscaping business three years ago and have been successful in employing myself and several of my friends.

No activity has had a bigger impact on me than football. Through years of hard work and training, football has taught me discipline. This discipline has spread to other parts of my personality, including my moral character, work ethic, and perseverance. Above all, though, football has given me a love of and appreciation for life. Through this sport, I have experienced many successes as well as major disappointments. Exposure to these feelings and learning how to grow from them has allowed me to become a more mature person with a greater passion for life.
